Probiotics and the gut-brain-skin axis/connection

Personal observations by the Dynavyte Vet suggest that Dynavyte MicroBiome Support (MBS) has effects on the skin of dogs. What have I seen?

Puppies (6 weeks old) with skin lesions on their backline clean up in 7 days. Ear lesions due to flies clear up with the hair growing back (8 year old Alsatian). Abdominal reddish skin due to inflammation clears up in 7 to 10 days (various breeds of dogs).

Is there any science to this?

Research has shown a gut microbiota link to skin differentiation and keratinisation. Other studies have demonstrated a reduction in skin inflammation caused by stress and improved hair growth.

The effects of stress on the skin are well recognised. Probiotics have been shown to have positive benefits for stress relief, plus reduce anxiety and depression.

The link between the gut microbiota and the brain and the brain to the skin is the proposed mechanism of the gut-brain-skin axis/connection.

Dynavyte MBS contains prebiotics and probiotics that promote Lactobacilli in the gut.
